The Truth About Network Marketing
A lot of people have their own ways of describing network marketing. Each person have their own understanding of the business.
In fact, most of the people are not wrong.
Network Marketing is a business you should see as a lifestyle that you're committed to.
It is not a popular business so a lot of people are getting it wrong.
Some experts say that about 90% of people in the business fail. This is something I am committed to change. If we have more people who understand it, we will have more people succeeding in it.
My name is David Osimheoaghwe Danila, a lot of people know me as DODTheory.
I am an electrical engineer and manager at Heseuk food limited, in Benin City.
My mission is to help people discover themselves more and become more impactful in the society.
I am committed to my network marketing business and I see it as a vehicle for young and industrious Africans to break the chains of poverty and lack. And live a life of financial freedom.
On a personal level, I haven't yet reached my goal in this business, but I believe in the destination I'm headed.
I'm only 8 months in the business and I've earned an average of ₦3,000 every week, summing up to over ₦100,000 in the last 8 months.
A lot of people earn much more, but I believe with time, I can achieve a lot more than I currently am achieving.
I joined this business specifically on the 9th of May 2020.
I was a private school teacher, and I knew that with my savings going down and the lockdown in place, I knew I needed to start a business that will at least give me something to 'hold my side'.
And since then, the journey has been a very rewarding one; with tremendous self development and good financial progress.
What attracted me into this business was the financial lifestyle of my mentor and leader, Mercy Kalu Ebe populapop known as SD Mercy Dollaboss on Facebook.

She is a housewife and does network marketing business as her main source of income. Earning an average of ₦500,000 every week. Yes, I said every week!
I later got to discover that there are several other people earning far more than her in this business.
Like Charles Tambuo who earns around ₦1,000,000 weekly

And Oluchi-Uzomah Abraham (https://www.facebook.com/oluchiuzomah.abraham), who earns over ₦50,000,000 (fifty million naira) weekly.
The oldest member of the business is Mrs Oluchi-Uzomah Abraham.
She's just about 8yrs in the business haven been sacked UBA bank.
Now, the question is
WHAT IS NETWORK MARKETING?
First of all, let's understand what the work "marketing" means.
Marketing is the process or activity of communicating the value of a product or service to people with the aim of getting them to patronise the product or service.
Marketing is different from selling.
As a marketer, you don't need to sell. All you do is to market; tell people about the product/services. You have no business in selling.
For instance, a marketer for a bank is that person who meet people and talk to them about banking with the bank.
A marketer for a company is that person who tells people about the products or services of that company so that more people will buy things from the company.
Marketing is something we do sometimes even without realising it.
When ever you purchase a phone and you brag about the good things that phone can do to a friend, and that friend ends up buying the phone because of what you've said, then you are a marketer for that phone company.
Whenever you wear a shirt and someone like the shirt and asks you where you bought it, if you tell the person and that person ends up buying that shirt from the boutique, you are a marketer for that boutique.
Whenever you make a beautiful hairstyle and someone asks you who did it for you, and the hairdresser gets the new customer through you, you have just marketed for the hairdresser.
Each of these instances are typical examples of marketing.
Anything you do that makes someone buy a product, or patronise a service is called marketing.
As a marketer, you don't have to sell.
You are not a seller.
A marketer is like an advertiser. Except that in marketing you deal with people directly and not through posters or electronically.
There are companies which deals with marketing. When you have any products you need people to buy, you contract a marketing company to help you market the products to people so that they will buy from you.
Then, you pay the marketing company commissions for the number of sales that they help you get.
That is what you do as a marketer.
You help companies attract more customers and they pay you commissions based on the number of customers and the volume of purchases the customer makes.
Now,
NETWORK MARKETING is exactly like this.
The only difference between being a marketer and being a network marketer is that you are paid commissions on not just your efforts alone.
Unlike a marketer in the bank, who gets paid commissions based on the number of new customers he introduced in a month, a network marketer gets paid based on both the customer he introduces and the customer that that new customer introduces.
So, if for instance I tell you about a product, then you come and buy the product. Then you now tell someone else about the product, and that person buys, the company will pay me for introducing you, and also pay me for the person you also introduced.
This is much more rewarding to some people because you don't get paid for your effort alone, but also the efforts of others who you've introduced.
Many companies operate this system of pushing their products to the end users. They don't spend money on adverts or promotion. They depend on users of the products to share these products to other people and get paid.
These companies therefore create a payment plan, called "compensation plan". Depending on the company, the compensation plan is structured in a way that pays customers or partners and is transformed into a well paying business.
